Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of disease processes using a systems-oriented approach and engages both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. We believe that true healing begins by addressing mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. Using the principle of food and faith as medicine, the patient is handed personalized tools to create new pathways to healing. Physician Within leverages a whole-person approach to give you the tools you need at every stage of your journey.

Our practice does not currently accept insurance so that we are able to spend the time with you that’s needed to design a personalized plan. We are happy to provide a superbill that you are able to submit to your private insurance for consideration of reimbursement of out-of-network benefits. We accept Visa/MasterCard/Amex, cash or check, and can also accept FSA/HSA payment cards.

Physician Within addresses a variety of conditions through a root cause, systems biology approach. Some of the most common conditions we see include autoimmune conditions, chronic gastrointestinal ailments, hormone imbalances and thyroid disorders. Often, patients seek care as they have seen their primary care physician or a specialist and desire an approach inclusive of nutrition support and additional laboratory interpretation. We also serve a large number of patients who feel well but desire to optimize their health for resilience and longevity. I am proud to have served as a board-certified Emergency Medical Doctor at Cleveland Clinic since 2015. I am honored to provide emergency care while in that role. While this has provided me with a unique breadth of knowledge, I’ve set out to develop a practice that approaches each patient with whole-person, faith-inclusive, functional and regenerative medicine.
As a mom of four working as an ER doctor, the things that I was told to get healthy just weren’t compatible with my lifestyle. This is why Physician Within specializes in personalized Care Plans that are specific to each patient’s metabolic, genetic, spiritual and life differences.
